To download demos from different PS Stores you need to make a different PSN account for each region you wish to download from.

To do this just go HERE and when it asks for your Country/Region of Residence be sure to pick the Region of the Store you wish to download from.

After your PSN account is made and authenticated go HERE to sign-in.

You should now have access to whatever Store you wish. Be aware that if you download anything using a different PSN account all your other downloads that you got from other PSN accounts will become disabled until you use your original PSN account again

There are two ways to get themes for your PSP. One is by using a PC the other is by directly downloading the themes using your PSP. This guide will cover both ways.

DOWNLOADING THEMES w/ a PC

Step 1) Go to a site that hosts themes. If you don’t know of one just use Google and search for “PSP Themes”

Step 2) Browse whatever site you find and download the themes you wish to place on your PSP. It is a good idea to download them to a location on your PC where you can easily find them. I suggest the Desktop.

Step 3) If the themes are compressed in a .zip or .rar file you will need to uncompress them. If you don’t have a uncompression tool Google “7zip” for a great free unziping application.

Step 4) Now that you have the themes ready to be copied to your PSP you must attach your PSP to your PC using a USB cable.

Step 5) Navigate to the folder PSP/THEME and if there isn’t a THEME folder already you need to create one.

Step 6) Drag the themes files you have on your Desktop to your PSP/THEME folder. After they are all copied you can disconnect your PSP from your PC.

Step 7) The themes should now appear for selection in the Theme Settings menu on your PSP.

Now for an easier alternative method.

DOWNLOADING THEMES w/ a PSP

Step 1) Find a site that is both browsable using a PSP and has themes with links to their .ptf files. If they are zipped then it becomes increasingly harder for you to get them and a PC is suggested.

Step 2) Click on the download link and if it downloads then you are done. If it doesn’t download you’ll need to proceed with the rest of the steps.

Step 3) When you find a theme you like simply put the pointer over the link to the .ptf and then hit the [Triangle] button and navigate to the File menu. Once there you should select “Save Link Target”

You will be asked where to save the .ptf file and the option that should automatically be selected is the PSP/THEME folder.

Step 4) Proceed with the download and once done the theme will be selectable from the Theme Settings menu.

1) Set the screen’s brightness light to the lowest (darkest) setting you are able to comfortably play at. The brighter the LCD the more battery power it uses.
2) If you have the headphones use them. The speakers on the PSP generally use more power than any normal set of headphones.
3) Only have UMD disks inserted when you want to play the game. Leaving the disk in will cause the PSP to activate the drive if you visit the [Game] menu, which wastes power.
4) If you use the WiFi and the router is near you set the WLAN Power Save setting to ‘On’ by going to [Setting] > Power Save Settings > WLAN Power Save.
5) Turn off the WLAN switch when you aren’t using it.
6) If you are listening to music and you aren’t looking at the screen. Hold the Display button in until the screen turns off.
7) Set the UMD Auto-Start feature to off by going to [Setting] > System Settings > UMD Auto-Start.

If you remain attentive to the energy your PSP is using and follow these tips, then you should make the battery last a few more hours, depending on what you are doing with it. Remember that anytime WiFi or the UMD drive are being used that is when the system is draining the battery the fastest.

The PSP homebrew scene’s pretty busy, ladies and gents. First Dark AleX released CFW 5.00 M33, then Mathieulh released the source code for Utopia. Now, Dark AleX has released PSPStates Experiment. The program is still on version 2, but has been updated to do patches in 5.00 M33. If this is your first time encountering this program, it lets you create savestates while playing games. Here’s a note from Dark AleX himself, concerning some stuff you’ll need to take care of before using the plugin: Remember to discard old savestates from 4.01 before using the plugin.
